Kuala Rompin hosts the largest Malaysia Sailfish Tournament every September.

Malaysia Sailfish give you the great opportunity to become a member of the Team and fish the Malaysia Sailfish Tournament 

 Royal Pahang Billfish

 International Challenge.

It is possible to participate as a single angler or with friends.

We can also create several Teams with several boats.

4 anglers / 1 coach / 1 captain / 1 crew man / 1 marshal form the Team.

3 days before the Malaysia Sailfish Tournament you will be trained by our specialists.

Malaysia Sailfish will teach you everything you need to know and put you in the Team.

The Royal Pahang Billfish International Challenge / Tournament 

Only billfish are counted.
Sail fishing (600 points) and marlins (1000 points).
The event is based on the rules of the
IGFA International Game Fish Association.
Catching and releasing the billfish is mandatory.

Travel process – plan:

​

  • Monday 1th day. Meeting point International Airport Kuala Lumpur KL 10 am pick-up with car or van - ride to Grouper Lake - Monster Grouper catch - lunch - ride to Kuala Rompin about 4 hours - 8 pm check in accommodation - dinner - Overnight stay.

​

  • Tuesday 2th day. 6 am Breakfast - 7 am make fishing tackle clear - boat ready - Go fishing- Training for the Malaysia Sailfish tournament - Malaysia-Sailfish-Action-Fishing - Lunch - ca.5 pm arrival Pier - shower / get changed - 8 pm Dinner - Overnight stay.

  • Wednesday 3th day same

  • Thursday 4th day same

​

  • Friday 5th day 9 am Breakfast - 10 am Fishing tackle clear for the Tournament – 1pm realex – 4 pm drive to team registration, meet the teams and listen to the rules of the

  • Malaysia Sailfish tournament.  Dinner - Overnight stay.

​

  • Saturday 6th day fishing the Malaysia Sailfish tournament, 

  • the Royal Pahang Billfish International Challenge RPBIC catch as many sailfish as possible - ca.5 pm arrival Pier - shower / get changed - . - 8 pm Dinner - Overnight stay.

​

  • Sunday 7th day fishing the Malaysia Sailfish tournament,  

  • the Royal Pahang Billfish International Challenge RPBIC catch as many sailfish as possible - ca. 5 pm arrival Pier - shower / get changed - 6 pm go to the glamorous award ceremony with gala dinner and party- Overnight stay.

  • Monday 8th day 8 am Breakfast - 9 am ride to KL Airport – Lunch on the way – around 3pm Arrivals International Airport Kuala Lumpur.

​

Possible options: Extra fishing days / days without fishing Relax / Fishing Trip to Tioman Island / Island Holidays. Can be combined with our fantastic fishing opportunities in  Thailand.

Tour are including this cost:

  • Transfer from Airport Kuala Lumpur to Rompin and back. And all transfers on the spot.
